Microfiber vs Foam Applicator Pad — Which Should You Use?
Foam applicator pads work well for heavy paste waxes that require physical buffing. However, for liquid sealants, spray waxes, dressings and interior products — a microfiber applicator pad offers better control and more even product distribution.
Microfiber spreads product thinner and more consistently, reduces over-saturation, and minimizes the tacky residue foam can leave on porous materials.
The Eclipse XL in particular is a preferred choice for applying spray sealants and ceramic boosters on larger panels — fewer passes, more uniform coverage.
